Summer Perfume

Our dad calls it "smelly stuff": perfume. Every woman should wear perfume, but it has to be the right perfume! While something cheap, sweet, and flowery would be appropriate for a girl in middle school, a young lady should wear something more sophisticated. I believe that every lady should have a signature scent. And, I also believe that it should be appropriate for the season. Therefore, this is what West Coast Sister and I are wearing this summer.

East Coast Sister's Pick:

Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Giola, $39.50 for 1 oz at Sephora
Not only is the bottle beautiful, cool-looking and light, but so is the fragrance. It has notes of mint (which I couldn't really smell), brown sugar, lemon, jasmine, peony, pink pepper, cedar wood, and labdanum. Fun fact: "acqua di giola" is Italian for "water of joy".

West Coast Sister's Pick
Creed Virgin Island Water, $130 for 1 oz
WCS here! This perfume is absolutely wonderful. The website describes it as a fresh/citrus scent, given 4 out of 5 stars by The New York Times! I feel so refreshed and beautiful every time I put this perfume on. Of course, at that price it may be best to save it for special occasions, but if you want to splurge on a beautiful perfume, I highly recommend this one!
